Alec Baldwin suffers loss after career update

Alec Baldwin suffers a big loss after a major career update happens, causing him to get canceled on at least one of his shows.

Match Game, the celebrity television show, appears like it won’t be renewed for another series. Recently, ABC extended a number of series, but the Alec Baldwin-hosted series was not among them. Alec Baldwin executive produced the show in addition to presenting it.

Though there is no official explanation for the show’s cancellation, it hasn’t been in production for quite a while, according to sources. Most people would assume that the continuing investigation into the event involving Alec Baldwin on the set of the film Rust is to blame, but that does not appear to be the case.

Due to the terrible occurrence on the set of Rust, Alec Baldwin is presently embroiled in many lawsuits. The claims allege Baldwin’s involvement in the death of the film’s cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins.

During the production of a scenario involving a gun that Baldwin was carrying, the pistol went off, and a round struck Hutchins, leading her to be brought to the hospital, where she died from her injuries.

Match Game was a replica of a classic 1970s game show in which contestants are given a phrase to finish with a missing word. The celebrity panel also takes notes on their comments, and the candidate earns points if any of them match. The reimagined game show ran five seasons before being scrapped recently.

But Alec Baldwin isn’t the only one who didn’t have the chance to host. Card Sharks, The Hustler, and The Celebrity Dating Game are among the other ABC game shows that have been canceled.

Whether or not Alec Baldwin’s litigation contributed to the cancellation, ABC appears to be conducting some early Spring cleaning and trimming down their game show slate. Card Sharks was a game show presented by Joel McHale in which contestants had to determine whether a card was higher or lower on a gaming board.

Zooey Deschanel and Michael Bolton presented the Celebrity Dating Game. Single celebrities were partnered with others who wanted to date them. Carmen Electra, Margaret Cho, Iggy Azalea, and others were among the attendees. Craig Ferguson presented The Hustler, which had competitors completing trivia questions, with one of them knowing all of the answers.

Meanwhile, his wife Hilaria is pregnant with their 7th child.
